Some minutes ago I received the news that Natascha Kampusch has made 25,000 euros available in immediate aid to the family members concerned. She has called for a wider donaition campaign. Once I know more I will bring more information to this post.

Where can I donate money to Elisabeth and her children? How can I know for sure there is not someone that will use this opportunity to steal money from possible donators (we now know there are some very very sick people out there). I saw want to help this family, I realise some will never be “normal” again but at least we all tried. Please help with a website where I can dontate.

The account details mentioned can be trusted as I wrote to the mayor of Amstetten who then advised me to donate funds via the account details already mentioned on this page.
I can’t get this tragedy out of my mind either, it really has got to me.

There’s no actual address given, though I suppose one could simply send the donation to “Amstetten, Austria,” with the bank details on the envelope, and the postal service would see that it got to the right place.
