Prestigious Austrian lawyer, Rudolf Mayer, is the one who has the difficult task to defend Josef Fritzl. The webmaster of www.joseffritzl.com has a proposition for him and his client:
Rudolf Mayer and his client can put the content they wish in www.joseffritzl.com with the following conditions:
1. This concession of content will last only until Josef Fritzl receives a sentence and providing that Rudolf Mayer is the lawyer representing Josef Fritzl.
2. In order to have this concession the client of Rudolf Mayer or anyone who supports this proposal will have to pay hard cash. All that money will go directly to Elisabeth Fritzl and her children.
3. The content abides to law. Being Rudolf Mayer a lawyer, I am sure that requirement will be fullfilled.
4. The website should be written also in English. Or at least have summaries in English.
Ok. These are the conditions. Needless to say that www.joseffritzl.com is the best domain if Rudolf Mayer is looking for an easy domain to defend its client.
After the concession this domain would continue like today, that is, a website with information about the horrific case related to Josef Fritzl.
In order to talk about this proposal I just wait for a comment from Rudolf Mayer posted here. Please give me references so I can be sure the comment is from exactly Rudolf Mayer, the current lawyer of Josef Fritzl.
Why should this josef be granted a prestigious lawyer ?
In what world are we ?

I’ve just read that the family has be allocated “state lawyers”… It seems that ‘great lawyer” are only interested in defending bastards.

I heard that Rudolf Mayer is getting a lot of hatemail. Why? I respect him because he decided to defend Josef F. Everyone has the right to have a lawyer! To be defend! Kind regards, Antoon Claassen – May 8 2008.

great lawyers see/attempt to see the perspective of the defendant. some represent in difficult cases for monetary reasons, some for notoriety. Mayer could be classed as a lawyer of all the preceeding.
one thing i cannot class him as, however, is a man. as a fellow lawyer, i must admit that profession and guidelines oft dictate.
but when i die, i will not die a lawyer, i will die a man. my legal education, despite all its technical interpretative benefits/flaws, will never compromise my morals as a man.
wrong is wrong. law or no law.
let god judge what is indefensible on earth.

Charnoz, the government often employs “state lawyers” to prosecute cases. Of course Elisabeth and co. cannot activity seek out a hot-shot Austrian lawyer. There is nothing bad about state lawyers, they can do their job.
And I agree. You may think Mayer is a “monster” but he is just upholding the legal system. Everyone, even alleged murders and child abusers, has a right to representation by law. If they didn’t, or if we tried making exceptions at every individual case that came up, the legal system would fall apart.
There isn’t much room for a victory on Fritzl’s behalf anyway so I wouldn’t worry too much.
